Certified Medical Assistant/ Lab Technician


CT-Family Care Services (CTFCS) is looking for a certified and experienced Medical assistant/ Lab technician to perform a combination of administrative and clinical tasks within a healthcare setting at our CTFCS primary care clinic. The medical assistant will work alongside other medical staff under the supervision of a physician. 

Additionally, a medical assistant is an essential part of a healthcare team, has responsibilities to keep the medical clinic organized and operating efficiently.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience in a mental health medical setting: 

 

  • Able to speak, read and write English proficiently. 
  • Ability to prioritize. 
  • Ability to medical and patient information in an organized fashion 
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work in and with teams effectively. 
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • The ability to speak multiple languages is preferred but not required.
  • The ability to work with a diversified population of patients.
  • Proficient knowledge of phlebotomy and techniques acquired through clinical experience. 
  • Ability to type and use computers and knowledge of medical technology. 
  • Knowledge of methods to perform venipuncture and capillary puncture on diverse patient types (pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics).

 

Administrative duties include, but not limited to:

 

  • Performs administrative and routine clinical tasks in a medical setting, including assisting medical practitioners during regular clinical exams at CTFCS' clinic.
  • Administrative tasks like scheduling appointments, answering calls and returning messages. 
  • Scheduling patient appointments and maintaining communication to confirm future appointments and charges.
  • Responding to and anticipating patients' questions, taking patients' medical history, and filing and maintaining patient records and health insurance information.
  • Lab technician skills. 
  • Managing office telephone systems, including answering calls and returning messages.
  • Documenting patients' medical information, including medical history and health insurance information. 
  • Performing data entry tasks to document patient records within facility databases and maintaining patient files; and, 
  • Coordinating daily office activities, greeting patients, and checking patients in and out for their appointments. 

 

 

Clinical duties include but not limited to:

 

  • Medical assistant is responsible for performing various clinical tasks, depending on the size and needs of their workplace.
  • Recording patients' vital signs, documenting physicians' notes and changes in medical conditions.
  • Taking tissue and fluid samples and sending them in for laboratory analysis.
  • Prepping exam rooms for clinical procedures and assisting practitioners with patient care.
  • Assisting physicians during routine checkups, outpatient procedures, and other physical exams.
  • Monitoring and documenting patient symptoms for physicians' review during clinical exams.
  • Providing compassionate patient support and care, attention, and assistance during office visits.
  • Preparing and administering medications under the direction of supervising physicians.
  • Effectively demonstrate medical assistant skills including organization, communication, medical knowledge, computer skills, clerical skills, empathy, Discretion, and cultural competency.
  • CMA also provides some patient care duties, including collecting samples and specimens, changing dressings, and taking vital signs.
  • A CMA will also conduct patient interviews before procedures, explaining and supporting them with treatment plans and preparing patients for tests.
  • A CMA's duties may include supporting the medical team by sterilizing equipment, scheduling, supporting contaminated waste, and prepare a safe and sanitary environment.

Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD/PsyD)

Part-time consultant/ Contract


Requirements and Responsibilities:


CT Family Care Services (CTFCS) is looking for a (part-time/contractor/consultant) Licensed Psychologist to serve for some few hours per week for its office in Springfield, MA. CTFCS is a State Licensed Agency and has also been reaccredited by CARF International (2020-2023). www. carf.org. The clinical psychologist delivers psychological services, including psychological testing and evaluation to a diverse and underserved client population. 

 

  • Conducts psychological evaluation and testing of patients with emotional, mental, and or psychological disorders. 
  • Ensures the psychological services at CTFCS follow regulatory compliance requirements and standard procedures established by the State of Massachusetts and the American Psychological Association, and other mental health regulatory agencies.
  • Has 5 or more years in a clinical, psychological, and or mental health services position using reliable and valid APA psychological testing procedures.
  • Has extensive knowledge of the DSM-5 and diagnosing mental health disorders.
  • Has extensive experience in treating clients with comorbid disorders, including conducting psychiatric assessments, developing treatment plans, and recording progress notes using an electronic record system (TherapyNotes, Practice Fusion).
  • Expected to perform psychological evaluations, reports, and scoring, review psychological evaluations, and maintain therapy clients and provide supervision.
  • Proficiency in psychological evaluation and treatment of a diverse populations.
  • Proficient in administering psychological and other screening instruments.
  • Proficient in psychometrics and psychological measurement and evaluation. 
  • Expected to maintain a part-time client caseload and provide supervision to unlicensed doctoral psychologists.
  • Must be team-oriented and sensitive to the diverse backgrounds of others.
  • Must be inclusive and able to communicate with persons from all educational and cultural backgrounds, including working with refugees, immigrants, and other underserved groups. 
  • Provide psychological services and testing methods to respond to the underserved population's changing needs and the diverse community.
  • Extensive experience with best-practice treatment protocols and innovative treatments in expressive therapies (art, music, dance, drama, etc.), meditation, and mindfulness; experience serving LBGTQ+ and other diverse communities. 
  • Provide assistance in the ongoing development and implementation of an on-going psychological evaluation and testing program.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. 
  • Strong organizational skills, strong analytical skills, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of current care standards, mental health and medical issues and trends, quality improvement, and research in mental health.
  • The ability to speak languages other than English is a plus (Spanish, Swahili, etc.)
  • Education: Doctorate in Psychology (PhD or PsyD)
  • Licensed Psychologist (LP) in the State of Massachusetts

Licensed APRN (Psychiatric mental Health Nurse Practitioner)


CT-Family Care Services, LLC (CTFCS) is hiring bilingual and any non -bilingual part-time APRN Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.

  • Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or APRN for our psychiatric services.

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) (Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner)

delivers psychiatric services on a part-time basis at our mental health clinic in Springfield, MA.

  • APRNs should be able to work with clients of all ages to provide and function as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • APRNs will be responsible for contributing to clients' treatment in need of psychiatric services.
  • APRNs will be responsible for conducting psychiatric evaluations and formulating accurate diagnoses using the Diagnostic Statistical Manual (DSM-5). 
  • Communicates professionally, positively, and effectively with all clients, families and collaborates professionally with others.

Licensed Clinicians


We are seeking energetic, creative, licensed mental health professionals to join our licensed minority-owned outpatient mental health agency located in Springfield, MA.


We are looking for multiple part-time, or full-time licensed mental health clinicians to provide individual, group, & family therapy. Hours and schedule are flexible but must be consistent and meet the agency and client needs. We are open evenings and Saturdays too; right now, we are expanding into school based mental health services and are actively recruiting clinicians available during school hours.
